Glad no-one got shot, anyway. Was it a strong possibility?

Fire a few hundred (thousand?) rounds and anything is possible, but the only casualty was my jungle boots - they caught fire while I was kicking some burning logs. I later threw them up into a famous "shoe tree" on the side of Router 66. There must have been 500 pairs of shoes up there.

I saw the shoe tree on a TV show just this week. At least you didn't have to suffer the shame of them falling down to the stink pit.

I was very proud that my U.S. Army jungle boots stuck hard and fast near the top of the tree after a single throw.

Graham Bandage is on a course and shouldn't be typing this.

Until it clears up, and then seven days afterwards.

And because it's difficult to sit down.

I never understood why throwing shoes in trees was something to brag about. In my eyes, very sad to see nature trashed up with boots and shoes. Teary

To be fair, I haven't been walking in many jungles and thought, "This is beautiful except for those boots up that tree."

I have seen too many shoes tossed on trees and power wires. For me to be fair, I see as a sad thing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe_tossing

That's because you're an Apache, you're more at one with nature than the rest of us heathens. :)

How many different tribes are there?

Pleeeease don't tell me you thought that there was only Apaches?

No, but I was curious as to how many tribes there are. So shoot me.

I think they prefer spears and scalping.

Boom boom.

No, if I remember rightly, there are - or were - hundreds of different tribes, if not thousands. How many might have been wiped out by settlers, I don't know. I'm sure that Dr Mato can enlighten us though. :)
