No, I assumed it would show me as Offline when I closed the browser, which is what I do.

Yes, because whenever they logged back in to check their status, they always show up as online? ;)

I never ever log out. I think I'm logged in to BSG on 3 different PCs.

This kind of website doesn't really & truely have a real LOGGED-IN state of affairs, at least not like logging into Windows when you power on your puter.

Instead the website sends a 'COOKIE' to your computer & that cookie contains your username and a copy (possibly obfusticated) of your password.

So actually it sort of logs you in automatically EVERY time you view a page or submit and then as mentioned above forgets about you 15 mins later.

Not exactly how our system works, but that's the essence of it I suppose. No need to confuse people with more anaolgies and session malarkey. ;)
