Ah you obviously haven't read The Truth or Small Gods which are both pretty wild.

I believe in the perfection of Pratchett's works in the way other people believe in the existence of God.

There simply isn't room for me to believe you're right about him.

Only lost and in the dark.

That said maybe I should have another go at Rankin.

Like I said, I don't want perfect, perfect is boring, I want wild and I want crazy. Stop going on about Pratchett, this is rankins thread; Pratchetts had enough praise.

No there isn't enough praise, not in this world.

Not even if a 1,000,000,000 solar systems sang his praises for a 1,000,000,000 eternities at once.

He is so great his very thoughts power the creativity of the universe.

Well, he won't even be able to write soon; he has Parkinsons or something, doesn't he?

Do you know the only time, the only time I ever heard a sketch booed at News Revue was one making fun of Pratchett.

He's got years of writing ahead of him and works behind him that will echo through the ages.

I think it's ok not to like him, so sue me. This is a Rankin thread. I just haven't enjoyed what I've read of Pratchett's; get over it.

Favourite Rankin book? 'A Dog Called Demolition' always spring to mind.

I can't get over my deep sympathy for your loss.

I'll live with it.

You'll try.
