And come to think of it, Mr B., I think I've seen Magma. Are they French?

Mais oui squire.

Jellyfish are {were} very good indeed. Here's a link to one of their tracks of the "Spilt Milk" album. "The Ghost At Number One" http://www.mp3raid.com/search/download-mp3/1/jellyfish/1.html

McFly covered one of their tracks, 'Baby's Coming Back' which is ace.

I've been looking to get into a lot of the early US college rock and indie - Let's Active, They Might Be Giants etc - so you'd recommend Jellyfiah then Lee?

Yeah Jellyfish - the Spilt Milk album is mind-blowing. Astounding musicians and a really eclectic mix of tracks. They're a sort of mixture of Queen, Beach Boys and Status Quo, with a heavy sprinkling of psychedelia if you can imagine such a strange beast. But at the heart is just great, amazingly-crafted songs. Andy Sturmer the lead singer nowe lives in Japan where he writes all the music for Japanese kids shows like Puffi Amiyumi.

Giants are good also but a little too out-there for my tastes.

Only problem with Jellyfish is they only had two albums out.
