Gordon Brown : Ah! This is one problem I have managed to solve. I've sent Darling down to donate his.

A secretary enters.

Secretary : Prime Minister, we had the hospital on the phone, bit of a problem really.

Gordon Brown : Go On.

Secretary : They opened up Mr Darling and it's his brain you see. It appears he doesn't have one!

I like it, although I did see the punchline coming

Maybe you could finish the sketch like this

Secretary : They opened up Mr Darling and it's his brain you see.

Gordon : Don't tell me! He hasn't got one

Secretary : Don't be silly Prime Minister, of course he's got one. It's just that it's full of shit!

In reading that back, I'm sure my suggestion isn't the solution, but do feel it needs a final twist away from the obvious

I agree with what Minty said, the total lack of brain is a bit obvious. Perhaps if they found something funny instead of a brain?

That's infinitely better than version one. And quite funny, too.
