Quote: Griff @ January 6 2009, 12:36 AM GMTBTW thanks for the 24 SPOILER in your sig, Dave. Any shows you were looking forward to coming up at all?
The world and his uncle knows. There was a programme on tonight on Sky 1 called "24 in 24", listing 24 reasons why it's so great, with behind the scenes footage and interviews with Kiefer etc. It interviewed Carlos Bernard. He's even on the publicity tread mill! The trailer was shown to thousands of people on a giant screen outside Central Park, NY.
In 24 in 24, they were talking to Kiefer and Co about Tony coming back. Jon Cassar was saying how they're not letting on exactly how he managed it, but that it is very believable. Also, the trailer is on Sky 1 and Jack says that line to Tony. And Kiefer is mentioning it in almost every interview in the last year. You must be the only person who didn't know - we all did when the first Season 7 trailer came out in November 2007 and that's why there was such an uproar when it was postponed. It's old news, really. 24 fans have known for a year and a quarter.
No need to be sarcy. The whole Tony thing is common knowledge, after all.
To put a humorous spin on things, this is all a bit like the Likely Lads episode, "No Hiding Place".

I didn't know and I follow the show fairly closely.
Let me be the first to tell you ... Princess Diana has died.
Basil Fawlty: It's a good thing we British can laugh at ourselves, eh?
Quote: Griff @ January 6 2009, 1:28 AM GMTNOW YOU'VE SPOILED THAT LIKELY LADS EPISODE FOR ME TOO
That's like the Titanic sinking at the end joke... Woops, sorry.
I think Dave has F-ed.
On a lighter note, what did you think of 24: Redemption?
Quote: Dave @ January 6 2009, 1:31 AM GMTOn a lighter note, what did you think of 24: Redemption?
I stopped watching 24 after the 2nd series. I tried picking it up again but only got half way through the third.
The third wasn't great, IMHO. That Mexican storyline dragged on a bit. Try Season 4, and then Season 5. It's so good, it's almost poetry.
If it makes you feel any better, Griff, I found out about Nina before time.
Agreed.
And I've changed my signature. Sorry you found out, but, having seen the first 17 mins, the shock is largely downplayed and it's revealed quickly. There's another piece of info which I'm holding back, but needless to say, Tony being alive is almost irrellevent compared to why and how and what this means for Jack. Also, there is at least two more big surprises apart from all that, so there's plenty to look forward to, and all in the opening episode!
I was kinda let down with Redemption. Like the Mexican bit in Season 3, whenever you take Jack out of his natural habbitat (that makes him sound like an animal!) it doesn't work so much. It's the supporting cast which make it work too, Chloe, Bill etc. Anyway, I seriously can't wait for next Monday. But I wish I was watching it on DVD too - I don't know how I'll cope with the adverts and the week inbetween episodes.
I don't know if Sky 1 do iPlayer or something like it, but it might be worth checking out if you can watch it online.
SkyPlayer, I think? But you have to be a customer.
But there is always Surfthechannel.com, if you're lucky they are DVD quality.
