Mr Smith starts filming as expected, then in the new season Mr Smith appears in one or two episodes, his callow youth and inexperience gets him killled and wham, bam, thank you mam we get a new doctor... we get the drama and the one we expect and the one they wanted all along...

It's a nice story idea, but it couldn't be pulled off, people would know; that's why they've had to announce Smiths casting so absurdly early, because it would leak. Unfortunately on TV, especially a big show, it would be impossible to pull off such a trick without us all knowing months in advance. They didn't want us to know about Tennant, for it to be a big shock at the end of the first series, but then we all found out Eccleston was leaving after episode one!

No, I'd say the same for anyone here, were they misinterpreted (and I was certain of their actual meaning) in such a way. And since you've not actually come back to any of the things I said, I'll assume that you know you were wrong, and accept your apology.

Do as you please, but I wasn't wrong, was I? I took the comment on face value, if it's not what she meant, then now I know. I accept your realisation that you seem to be overreacting a tad.
I have a terribly racist, misogynistic acquaintance and I emailed him today to tell him that Matt Smith has been dropped as the Doctor and replaced with Floella Benjamin. I think he believed me for a second until I followed it up with an email saying Floella's new assistant was called "Jigaboo" with the catchpraise "Lawdy lawdy Missy Doctor, I does love dem Galleyfreyan Warty Melons!"
That'll learn him for being a racialist.
