Doctor Who... Page 267

I may go into deep freeze ala Buck Rogers.

South Park did that joke rather better than me.

The primitive cybermen in the Christmas special were rather good.

The masks were, I don't know what the frilly costumes were all about. The Cybermen were basically wasted in that special though, weren't they? RTD didn't seem to even try and use them well. I haven't really enjoyed any of the stories they've so far appeared in all that much, and they're one of my favourite baddies.

The original Cybermen actually had personality, especially pyramids of Mars where they weren't to be seen for the first 2 episodes.

They could be creepy. I think you must mean another story though, Mars was Mummies! Did you mean Tomb Of he Cybermen, the Troughton one?

Yes I sit corrected and picking my nose.

Pyramids? Mars? Was this episode broadcast before or after the well-touted NASA piccies? Where's Lee Henman when you need his help in birthing a conspiracy, eh?

This new guy looks like Fergal Sharkey. He may be alright as The Doctor though.

I suppose I'll give him an episode's chance. :)

I'm sure he's a good actor and all that, but, I'm about 99% less excited than I used to be about the next series.

I'm not keen myself, to say he looks strange is an understatement. :)

I'll give them a go though.

I was just checking out the new doctor. Glad to see they've gone back to the traditional - ahem - "quirky" look the Doctors used to be famous for. Not sure Zooo will be QUITE such a big Doctor fan for the next few years though...
;)

Maybe I'm being unkind. He's not the weirdest-looking Doctor ever - Sylvester McCoy was slightly stranger... anyway, here's an interview with the all new angular-faced Timelord. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=M3K7xeZ6BdY

Aah yes that famous film,

The boy with an arse for a face.

And an assisstant sexier than Billy Piper.

BBC cutbacks hit Dalek costumes.

I can't understand how Dr Who appeals to viewers over 14 years of age, yet there seems to be abundant passion for the show here at BSG.

Is it a cult thing? Aficionados - please explain!

Does anyone else think the new Doctor looks a bit like Odo from Star Trek DS9?

There's never been a pretty-boy Doctor Who. They've all looked weird. David Tennant was closest to eye candy, but he still had a face like a stoat, with a pointy nose and an Adam's Apple that jutted out too much.
