My tip: if it's in your power to produce something of your own (even it's just a sketch) then do so. You'll learn an awful lot from the process.
A tip from each of us. Page 6
It's Bussell!
My tip is to be David Bussell.

But if you were Bussell then there would be no Leevil, and that's just not a world I want to live in.
Wear sunscreen.

You could be Leevil? Here's the sandwich starter pack. It contains everything you need to get started, funnily enough.
5x Breakfast Sandwiches
5x Lunch Sandwiches
10x Dinner Sandwiches
A pinch of cheeky.
1x Bucket of Sexy.
Some excellent tips.
One thing I would mention is look inward and decide if you would do better on your own or with a writing partner.
A large percentage of brit sitcoms are written by a pair of writers.

Not unrequited at all Mr Slagg! Valentines Day isn't too far away...perhaps you'll be getting a surprise through your letterbox!

"Oh look, Lee gave me a greeting card - how very thoughtful of him, like he doesn't have a shed full of the poxy things."

A knob gag? But your Resolution!
Oh... another tip...
(I know it said "one" but this one is important and goes on from the recent dialogue discussion)
Don't make all your characters' dialogue all the same. Or like how YOU talk.
Even good mates from the same town have slight differences in how they say things.
For example, some people say ain't, while others say isn't.
Some people talk in double negatives. (I ain't done nothing)
And keep it consistent. Don't suddenly give a double negative to a grammatically correct person.
On the postcard I got from the BBC writersroom after I sent them my drama script it said a good quote by Gill Adams "Writing isn't a job nor a hobby, it's an addiction without a cure"
So I guess the best tip is keep writing.
