Doctor Who... Page 256

I see there's an episode of Dr Who Confidential on BBC1 on Saturday, about the lives of the 10 Doctors. I wonder if this means they are about to announce the identity of the next Doctor? I hope so, it's dragging on a bit now.

I flipping doubt it.

You may be right. RTD implied in recent interviews that they haven't decided yet, and said he isn't privy to such decisions anyway. I think this is a complete falsehood, I bet it was decided ages ago.

I expect they'd need a good idea in order for the necessary planning and writing to be done. I doubt it'd be announced until much nearer the time though.

I don't want it announced until after David's last episode has been aired (that won't happen though).

It's sooooo distracting even knowing he's leaving, let alone having the face of the next one in your head throughout the whole bloody series.

Well obviously. He needs to have turned into the new Doctor by the end of David's last episode!

Yes, I didn't word that very well did I!

I mean, I want it to be a surprise, when he changes into him.

Don't want it announced *before* David's final episode, is what I should have said.

Apparently, and for goodness sake don't tell anyone this came from me. But the reason RTD stepped down as showrunner on the series is that he himself is going to be takking over from David Tennant as the next Doctor!

Ah I seee.

Yes, I agree. Would be much better to have a big ol' surprise.

With the old series, everyone knew way in advance.

He's probably a better actor than writer. Whistling nnocently

If they're clever, they'll make a virtue out of the advance knowledge.

Yes. And t'was shit.
Completely ruined it for me.

Oh wait, do you mean old as in, before it came back? Or old as in Eccleston...

I'm pretty sure he means old as in decades!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.

In that case. I haven't got a clue.
