I'm not sure if a similar thread exists but was just wondering what people's favourite sitcom series was this year. Most of my favourites were new series of existing shows. Here's my favourites:
Peep Show
Lead Balloon
Outnumbered
The IT Crowd
(I realise most of those are from the last two months.)
In terms of new shows there wasn't a lot that were particularly memorable. I liked How Not To Live Your Life and Massive but I think one series of that was enough.
Just for the last three episodes, Lead Balloon.
Peep Show and The IT Crowd is all I remember.
The IT Crowd and Peep Show.
And Gavin & Stacey.
I wasn't overly impressed by anything, apart from 30 Rock (or was that first shown at the end of last year?). Here in Britain, my favourites were probably Saxondale and The Mighty Boosh.
Moving Wallpaper, thought Ben Miller was excellent - can't wait for a second series.
Lead Balloon. And Peep Show, obviously. The Visit was good too (dunno if it was made this year).
Outnumbered by a distance imo.
Best new series: The Inbetweeners and Moving Wallpaper.
Best returning series: Outnumbered and not-a-TV-sitcom but Bleak Expectations.
Of course, all of this will be covered in the up-and-coming BSG Awards.

Very poor year. Nothing.
Best new series for me was Moving Wallpaper. Best returning series was Pulling (that was this year?). Other than that it was a poor year, with a lot of big disappointments, most notably Lab Rats and Clone. Have these two turkeys temporarily killed the science-based sitcom? Oh, and BBC Three had a dire year aswell.
