This is a big one for me, as I practically live off the stuff but I am gonna give up fizzy drinks.
Totally cold (and flat) Turkey.

Crikey. I predict a slump in Coca Cola's profits.
No fizzy ribena?
Quote: Moonstone @ December 28 2008, 4:49 PM GMTLamb is the best meat ever! Gorgeous. If I became veggie, it would be lamb I missed the most, followed by bacon.
Yeah, only a few mouthfuls, but damn are they nice mouthfuls!
Get lamb steaks instead of chops. Bit pricey but worth it.
I have a cruder solution lots of lamb chops.
Lamb steaks I dunno sorta miss the point.
Shanks and chops are tops.
I also like goat and mutton.
I could probably depopulate a small farm quite easily.

Even that! See told you it will be hard.

There's a huge leg of lamb for a fiver in my local frozen food shop and I've been thinking about it for a while, but I don't know if I trust myself to cook it properly. They don't sell steaks, only little bags of chops, but I may just have a look in the butcher's and see how pricey they are.
I'd like to say that my resolution would be to worry less, but I know that's not realistic; so I guess it's more so to put things into perspective so that even if I'm upset, I deal with it better psychologically. That's the plan, anyway.
Follow the instructions and it's pretty straight forward, or casserole it in stock for ages.

Worrying's ok
Things invariably turn out better than expected if you worry too much about them!

I'm ok with cooking meat, it's just the size of it! In fact I'm not even totally sure it'd fit in my oven.
I worry a stupid amount though, evidently.

That is a very good one.
There are other people who should try this too.

You either have a tiny oven or it's a truly monsterous leg.
Go for it, worst case scenario sharpen up the flensing knife and debone it.
Then cut meat into steaks.

So what's a sensible amount? Just deal with things how you deal with them, you don't have to try to change it.
You are at a stressful age to be fair though - stressful for various reasons.
How I "deal" with things is horrible though, and I always just end up in an awful mess, and feeling no the better for it.

Ha - bit of both really!

That's a good idea. I'm weary because I've f**ked up on a turkey leg before that looked perfectly cooked until it bled all over my dinner (which took f**king hours!)
So how the hell can I be trusted with something 10 times bigger?

Aww. Well at least you've got Elliot for cuddles and someone to talk to. And you've always got us for hugs
