Very much in the vain of Blackadder II, they've even used parts of the story later I believe. I wonder why they changed the character so much for the first series?

I dunno, was such an odd thing. I thought that was the point in a pilot - to show the characters and give an idea of what the series would be like?
They did say in the documentary that his character was all over the place in the first series because they weren't quite sure what to do with him? Strange time to be f**king about experimenting - especially when you already have a good enough character.

Exactly, the pilot's Blackadder was far better than the first series'. More intelligent, more cunning etc. And he won! Kind of..

I wasn't keen on the the King, Prince, or Baldrick but the Queen and the Scot were ok. Did the Scot reprise his role later on, or am I imagining it?

I don't remember what he looked like tbh, was a while ago when I saw the pilot.
If he was in any I'm guessing it'd be the McAdder one?

At least the one good thing about the series was getting TR in instead of that young lad. Nothing against him, but I think he would've been a boring Baldrick. I don't think many of TR's visual gags would have worked with him. Maybe that's just familiarity speaking though.

Alex Norton, he did reprise the role of McAngus in Born to be King according to IMDB. Episode Two of Series One.

Well you've got a better memory than I have. Having said that, much about series 1 in my view was forgettable.

Come on! I did recognise him originally! ;)

What are you watching on TV? - This stupid Help! I'm No Bigger Than A Bug with Nigel F**king Marven. I used to like him, but now he does me 'ed in! I hate all his '"oh, if I don't watch out they'll have me" bollocks about CGI dinosaurs and green screen bugs! Wanker.
