So we've got a thread for what we want to do next year, but how well have us chisseling little writers done?
Did you kick in the door at fortress BBC? Sneak in the window or are you pathetically trying to shove your bloated ego filled head through the catflap?
How did Sootyj do.
Started writing properly (Well started in October 2007 so shoot me).
Managed a pretty respectable number of sketches in News Revue and Treason show. (Actually got 9 in for 2 weeks and felt pretty good about that).
Sold some gags to 118 118 (and got some books as a prize for hardwork)
Was ignored by every open talent slot at the BBC.
Got 4 minutes 20 seconds at King Gong and made an audience member leave in tears.
Did a rubbish comedy course that lead to an awful show, but met Tony Allan and Pappy's fun club which was nice.
Wrote several sketches for the most influential alternative comedy show in Exeter. Sold out every performance.
Was comissioned to write a movie script, that is currently festering on his hard drive.
Wrote 5 sitcom pilots, 1,723 sketches, 2 standup routines for others, that f**king screen play and 4 sketch show pilots. Also had 2 paid standup gigs.
Was interviewed by the great Bussell on the UK's best and most embittered sitcom forum.
Had a short film recorded in London Bridge, which may be touring the small film festivals. It has a very good piss joke in it.
Had a bunch of his 118 118 jokes featured in a Sun editorial on how shit 118 118 jokes are. They declined his generous offer of an interview.
Wrote 30 pages of a play and got bored, so went back to trying to kill squirrels with mind bullets.
Had a full time job.
Picked his nose alot.
Had a 15 minute pod cast play produced by the Wireless Theatre Company. They may produce part 2 now Sootyj's corrected the spelling and grammar. May turn into an annual sitcom/soap opera.
