How cheerful.
Every year, on Christmas day, while watching the short news broadcast, it seems like someone famous dies. This year I wondered who it would be. It was Harold Pinter. Now, I see that Eartha Kitt has died.
I think there's a long list of famous people, comedians included, who've died at Christmas. Anyone noticed this?
Yep I've noticed this as well. They do say death comes in threes so that leaves one more.

Yep Benny died at easter, I think. So who's next? Barry Manilow's been looking a bit dodgy recently.
Not that I'm the grim reaper or anything. 
Wikipedia has an article on each day of the year, and each one has a list of people who died on that day.
Amongst those who have died around Christmas include W. C. Fields (Christmas Day), Charlie Chaplin (Christmas Day), Jack Benny (Boxing Day), Nigel Hawthorne (Boxing Day), and "Australia's Lucille Ball" Dawn Lake (New Year's Day).
I was going to say that the good die at Christmas, new year etc.. but didn't Hitler die at Easter?

No. Easter 1945 was 1th April. Hitler died on 30th April.

That's sad. I saw her do an interview earlier this year and she seemed so well and young for her age, doing high kicks, etc. She also came across as quite a nce and sweet person - very different to the preconceptions of her. Plus she looks a bit like my mum.
I always wanted to be able to purr Eartha but once I ended up with a strangulated splutter which caused my object of affection to rush to the kitchen to fetch me a glass of water.
I shall miss her.

John Costelloe, who played Johnny Cakes in The Sopranos, apparently commited suicide yesterday.
