Funniest thing that WILL happen in 2009... Page 2

I don't, and unfortunately I am one.

Return to your curmudgeonly ways!

I bring you peace and love, my child.

Maybe so although I am not truly convinced about that, but I do find the thought of the Middle Classes being made homeless very funny indeed. Queueing up to get stuff from the Charity Shop rather than taking their cast-offs in. Hilarious, mate! Having to put their snotty kids into state schools, having to work out how to switch the iron on now that the poor immigrant maid has got fed up of not being paid! Having to shop at Lidl! Choice!

You have an unusual definition of middle class.

Private schools? Not shopping at Lidl? Having maids?

Frankie you seem to be confusing the middle classes with the Windsors or the Tracys on Thunder bird Island.

n.b. the government is going to fund private schools out of your taxes. So looks they'll be going and we'll all be paying.

I don't hate the middle class per se, but dodgy investment bankers, multiple home owner and all those others can suffer.

Students are OK (unless they are Middle Class, of course!) ;)

I know plenty of MC's that send their kids to Private Schools, don't shop at Lidl and have cleaners and ironers in twice a week! Be nice to see them 'camping out'! They can go and get all stoic about it!

Franky those people are wealthy and usually they're people who's wealth supports a whole microcosm of society.

It's always been the case that working classes live parasitically off the wealthy.

They're not only richer and more responsible then us. They're better than us.

Harsh punitive taxes on low earners would encourage poor people to make more of themselves.

I suggest that it's the wealthy who are the parasites, chum. Their wealth comes from the labour of others.

See all the societies that killed their middle classes and aristocrasies (revoloutinary France, Soviet Russia etc) all failed.

Some people are richer and have more than us, because they're better and more deserving than us.

The cream floats to the top and the dross settles at the bottom.

Ever hears of the Ben and Jerry's 20 2 1 ratio?

The French Middle Classes helped drive the French Revolution.

A day out to Le Touquet, I think it was..

Interesting story Ben and Jerry's used to have a rule no staff member can earn more than 20 times than any other.

The company nearly went bankrupt.

You can't make affordable ice cream paying bottom rung cream stirrers $25,000 and you can't hire a competent chief executive for $500,000.

Poor people are unfortunately a disposable resource dependent on the largesse of those wealthier than them. China and India treat their poor like crap and are doing as well as us.

Who throw free flats, money, education and health care in their ungrateful pie chewing faces.

Well, you can't make a big profit without lying, cheating and stealing, and a bit of etc. thrown in.

In fact, it's hard to make any kind of profit without being underhand in some way.

The whole shooting match is a shit heap.

I'm sure Ben & Jerry's pays their lowliest workers at least $25,000 per year. Even McDonald's pays close to that these days.

This was a few years ago.

The meek will not inherit the Earth, that's for sure.

Meek was my grandmother's maiden name. I've yet to inherit the Earth, but I'm comfortably middle class. ;)
