Pathetic. Don't let them emotionally blackmail you.

True friends wouldn't push you into doing something you're not up to.

That felt like it was directed at me. It wasn't, as I didn't say that to Robyn. I think I'm just looking for an excuse to be annoyed now.

For the record I don't think it's possible to explode in a shower of jizz. If one could then one would have quite a career lined up in pornography.

Once you've accepted you can't do parties, life gets much more simple!

I cannot imagine it can. It doesn't feel like it can. I want to be able to do them, I want to be able to get my friends together and have fun. I cannot help but feel slightly broken at this point. :(

Plus alcohol is evil.

How could it have been? When I said that, I didn't have any idea that you were involved in whatever this thing is tomorrow. Up until now, all Robyn has said was a "maybe" as to your participation, so I wasn't sure.

Chillax, man. You love her. You wouldn't do that to her. S'ok. We know. :)

Albeit a short, tragic - but lucrative - one.

Well I never hang out in big groups. Just small ones.

I guess you'll have to not think of them as parties then! Or would it be easier if it was at your house?
Or would that make it worse...

Ah, you've not yet hit that glorious moment of enlightenment, that point where you realise for yourself that the "fun" of which you speak is another person's definition, not yours. You've said you can do small informal type gatherings. That's evidently your definition of fun. Peter Sutcliffe's idea of fun was murdering and tracking. It's not mine. Simple as that. No? :)

Ah. There's the rub. Tomorrow was the testing zone for such a theory, first time I'd ever had the house to myself for such a party. I'll have to find another way to clear out the parents at some point to try and see if I could host an event, albeit a small one.

Oh wow. Well put Aaron.

Hmmm. This makes sense. But I still wonder what I'm missing out on, or what's missing from me so that I do not enjoy parties. It's naturally worrying because all of my friends cope so well, even the people who normally share my eccentricities or weirdness.

People are just different. I know exactly what you mean though.

But there's three people just like that right here, so we're not THAT uncommon. (we are weird though, naturally.) :)

Ah. Yes. That's the point isn't it? We're three people who are quite marked in our differences form the rest of the world. Another marked difference to most, we all found love on the vast internet. Sometimes the world is good.

Love you Robyn. Even though you are asleep and will not read this until tomorrow.

The only thing you're missing out on is stuff that you evidently don't enjoy. I don't enjoy going to loud music performances, but friends do. I don't feel like I'm missing out. I'm just not doing something which I dislike.

And there's nothing missing from you. It's the morals, decency and maturity that's missing from them. ;)

Yes, occasionally it is. :)

Have a listen to this. You probably won't go as far as me and agree with every single line and word, but pay attention to the lyrics. Food for thought and that: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LjyU_876RS0

I enjoy a gathering with a small collection of friends, where intimate and thoughtful conversations are possible. Or those conversations that jump around from heavy to light and back again. A larger group where I barely know anyone is much less welcome. If I can only do small talk, and I have to keep hiding my weirdness, I feel stilted. The worst is a party where I know no one. I get my drink and head to the corner. There I stay all night, unless I get some kind of reprieve.

But that's a woman's "ignore that", which is actually a test, and should he actually ignore it, then you'll be all sad and hate him for not caring. And that.

Oh, yes, and for the record; I never, ever do a "woman's" ignore that.

You'll catch it if you get too close! Lurgy!

Matt is not really in the mood for work. No real change there then.
