There was that 'eternal youth' machine episode but yeah they did do sod all. Seems RTD can't do a Doctor Who series without somone coming or going.

Sometimes it's beyond his control though. The thing about Doctor Who is you're not just acting in a TV show, you're part of a British institution and all the responsibility that comes with it. Some people get sick of that very quickly, it's the reason Eccelestone only did one series.
I really think that RTD should let somebody else write the season finale for series 4 though. Judging by the last three he seems to sit at his monitor and think..
"So things are flying down to Earth from space and killing everything, the Doctor and his assistant are seemingly helpless. How shall I end this?"

I think sometime(!) they should have the Doctor played by a 12 year old kid. I'm not being pervy but he can regenerate and they almost seem to be getting younger every time.
I remember seeing the first ever episode back in 1963 (?) and he was a really old man. That of course was when I went back in time. I'm not really that old.

Because theyre not getting rid of her, or her wanting to leave, theyve purposefully decided to do something different, have her character team up with Captain Jack in Torchwood for a few episodes, then rejoin the Doctor part way through series four. Its not getting rid of her, or them being unhappy with Freemas performance or anything, its just doing something a bit different; she is coming back to the show.
I know that but I was wondering why they just didn't do another 13 episodes with Freema is RTD racist or something

I don't think any of us are huge fans of the idea of Catherine Tate coming.
