I would love to give baked goods as a Christmas treat in those cases but sadly in this day and age, you can not be too careful and most people won't accept food gifts off strangers that are homemade or unwrapped. Mind you, since I don't get my milk or paper delivers and the postal system here is awful, it's not an issue anyway!

Well I can't say that I've ever seen, heard of, or experienced that, but heyho.
I remember there was that story many years ago about that man who put harmful things in jars of baby food and would put them on the shelves in supermarkets. Most jars now have that popper thing on the top to test if it's been opened.
To be honest though, most of it is paranoia.
