Surely the fact he had dogs should have alerted people to how evil he was?
Sitcoms that peaked in series 1 Page 4
I do agree that cats are superior and owning them is a sign of class and breeding.
As for Hitler, the tittish moustache and hait=rstyle really should have alerted people to how evil he was. That and his attitude to Jews, gays, gypsies and the disabled.

Simon Pegg hates dogs - therefore he's great....
Well his character in Spaced hated dogs...to begin with anyway, he soon started to love Colin...
Well...stop comparing Simon Pegg to Adolf Hitler!
I think it is distinctly unfair to say that 'Black Books' peaked in Series 1.
I agree that the plots were more laboured later on but the same humour and characterisation prevailed and there were some truly funny moments.
My own opinion, as stated before in these forums, is that there is plenty of mileage left in BB. It is a raging shame that Moran cannot be persuaded to do another series. I.e. I think the 'peak' could be yet to come.
Filthy Rich and Catflap
In truth, Spaced. Series one was stunning. Series two relied on too many nods to pop culture references - the MIB episode etc. Although didn't the brilliant herbs as drugs episode appear in two? But there again, one episode a series does not make.

Nah, Ive heard this said before, but I dont see it myself; series two was fantastic!
I agree!
It seems I am alone in thinking that Alan Partridge got better with each series!!
Every series of MBB was better after the first as was Black Adder.
Red Dwarf was consistent to series 6 and then went downhill.
Just a few of my thoughts!
Both seasons of Partridge were equally good. I don't know why anyone who liked season 1 would dislike season 2.

ian, watch your back.
I never saw this. If only I'd seen it, I'd have known why that man that looked like Simon Pegg kept following me about.
My Family never peaked atall.
Yeah, Time Gentlemen Please!
Just not the same in the 2nd series, very hollow, repeated gags and the missing "Aussie barmaid" destroyed it in my opinion.
BACK OFF BRUSSELS!!!

Agreed.

Game On, first series was great. The Office, one series was enough. All the really great sitcoms need a couple of series to get going, and shouldn't peak too early.
