The right thing to do would be to give it back but it wasn't my fault he didn't declare all his winnings. What would you do?
I would keep it. You won it fair and square.
Keep it and start looking to why this manager type would even mention his possible win. Something seems out of place to me with him.
To be fair he didn't challenge me about it and the £200k only came out after I mentioned that another colleague's wife had placed equally large piles of chips on both red AND black.
If I hadn't mentioned mat it may never have come up again.

I wouldn't worry about it then, it's yours.
Keep it, give him the just the box... I am Solomon.
If it were a raffle, and they called the ticket but the guy didn't realize he had it in his pocket, and they drew again and picked yours, there would be absolutely zero fault on your part, and you would be the legitimate winner.
Likewise, if it were bingo, and the guy wasn't paying attention and COULD have shouted bingo for the big prize, but didn't and you did following the very next number, then again, you would be the legitimate, GUILT FREE winner.
This is no different. He wasn't paying attention. Enjoy the gift.
What a douche bag for even asking.
If he's a manager let him take his manager salary and buy one himself.
If I'm ever in your neck of the woods point him out so I can kick him in the nuts and throw my Nintendo Advance at him.

Or do this....I approve of this.
Hold on all those dissing the manager!
It's possible the manager secreted the £200k in his pocket, knowing you would win instead of him.
Him telling you of his subsequent find may have been designed to let you know what a generous guy he is by letting you win when your need was greater than his.
What a guy!
Only you can judge.
If the above scenario seems implausible, keep the prize - the award was made based upon the information available at the time.
Geoff, are you Tuumble's manager?
