Another thing about this site seems to be that there are plenty of users and guests in the forums ... it's pretty dead over on the 4laughs forums these days... :-(
Even though it's quite slow at the minute, I bet you're not used to such an active forum are you?

No well, 4laughs was a bit like this in terms of activity about six months ago but probably for a variety of reasons it's quietened down considerably ... also this site is a more dedicated site in the sense that everybody on here appears to be a writer... not so on 4laughs... 4laughs is more fragmented in the types of user it attracts and perhaps not always in a good way...
To contribute and make the most of this site I think I would have to move up a gear or too, increase the ante as it were!!! 
Welcome Frankie-I used to go on 4 laughs, but it got too competition orientated, and thus became the wrong place for giving and receiving encouragement and constructive criticism.
And I never won a stupid mug, either.
It's much better here, and the only comps are friendly ones for laughs.

I don't think everyones a writer, but most people end up having ago.
I have always said that everyone has a sitcom in them worthy of rejection by the BBC!
