Gervais - what a complete c*nt.

He's on BBC1 now, talking about himself and his new movie with Chris Rock. Earlier he was talking about how Spinal Tap asked him to do the gig and how The princes' asked him to do the diana gig. He gives name dropping a bad name.

And he's still fat! Why is that? Would you be f**king fat if you were a multi-millionaire?

Get him off the TV.

C**t!

I like him, I think he's funny. I am a fan.

He doesn't help himself which is a shame. He constantly lets himself down doing this kind of thing.

If he and Merchant sat down and wrote something other than the 'comedy of embarrassment' he trades in, I think we'd see how good he really is.

I hate lots of people, but I don't keep making threads about them.

Answer: Not very. :)

I second that - how about he's replaced with someone who's you know...funny?

Andwer: Not very. :)

His career path and 'character' mean he'll go down in history (on the internet) as a tit.

But The Office was comic genius, and one of the most well written things I've seen.

I just think there's a fine line between expressing your dislike of someone's comedy, or their personality (which is fair enough) and just coming off sounding insanely jealous and bitter that they're successful and you're not.

Plus calling him a c**t's a bit strong. He's not Fred West for f**k's sake.

There. That's my Gervais defending done for the day.

Hey Zooo, weren't you the author of such recent threads as:

"SlagA, one good reason to bring back the KKK"

"SlagA! Number 9 in my Top Ten faschist dictators of the 20th Century."

"Who broke up Take That? Clue: He wears a gasmask."

"Coach trip to go burn down SlagA's house."

"SlagA: What a complete c*%&!"

:O

But I agree, the C word is way too harsh for him.

The guy is a genius. He has every right to gloat.
Who wants a skinng RG. I dont.

I dislike a lot of what he's done post-Office, but nevertheless I liked the first series of Extras and i've downloaded every old Xfm show off Pilkipedia and every Podcast he's made. I wouldn't be too quick to call him a hack quite yet.
True; everyone went a little overboard with the "SAVOUR OF BRITISH COMEDY", "COMEDY GENIUS" stuff when The Office was getting really big, but people are definitely seeing him with a more realistic light now and maybe he isn't a comedy genius, but I still believe that he's a good writer and a funny man.

My $0.02 :)

The Office was very good. So was Extras. Hes good. Him and Merchant. They make very funny TV shows.

How succinct!

Thanks.

Ah, you were the one who deleted those threads!
I wondered where they'd gone.
