Pah comedy is to important to waste time being funny.

I weep for you Sooty!

You know what I mean; this place is a wildly concocted comedy melting pot into which members whimsically toss their ill-considered ingredients in order that others may do the job they should have done themselves before posting:

'Errr...this is shit, maybe I'll think about it for ten more minutes and actually take out that line about 'chickens with screwdrivers having sex with teapots on crack'.

Actually, wait...

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

That's the general idea!

How many Trotskyists does it take to change a lightbulb?

In the continuing revoloution we'll have nothing to fear in the dark.

What is a comedy rehab anyway?

It's where Dawn French will go when she inevitably dresses up as Amy Winehouse on French & Saunders.

25 years ago, it would have been Eddie Large.

In Soviet Russia, lightbulb changes you etc

Being a tad serious for a mo.

I'm not the only person to have put an idea or so in critique. Gotten feedback and then sold/performed said idea, knowing without feedback I wouldn't have.

I put stuff in critique that needs work.

Way to make frineds Stu! I'm not saying you're not correct, however. But still.

It's a sensible filter - anyone who disagrees is probably a bit mental and not the sort he wants to rolln with in his 5.0 with the ragtop down so his hair can blow.

What an arrogant tosser.

Cheers, Griff. But my embarrassment at not knowing she'd Winehoused up is outweighed by my pleasure at never seeing her do it.

And adding to your seriousness, I completely agree. I merely said a lot of it stinks; of course, I get that that is part of the point of the critique bit.

Maybe as a non-regular here folk felt it was some kind of invective on the institution that is BSG. It wasn't. Indeed, I've posted sub-par stuff myself.

Like I said, it's possibly true what he said, but not the best way to get people on side.

Thanks for your diplomacy, Sir Stott. The initial remark was indeed an aside to my point, and yes, perhaps it could have been more subtly put.

But Mr Chapman, is that entirely necessary?

No rehab sponsored by Stu? :$

But Mr Chapman, is that entirely necessary?

Just my opinion from the way you introduced yourself and I'm sure many others. And you're looking for a collaborator?

Have you considered being a Diplomat?

I'm looking for a collaborator who has a certain level of maturity. One who may disagree bluntly but in an adult fashion.

Feel free to shoot me down here, but I imagine every writer on here who has sold anything at all will agree that the vast majority of their stuff has simply been not good enough. Often, that's because nobody has been there immediately to tell them to leave an idea alone.

That's how the ideas-forming/writing process works best, non?
