What are you drinking? Page 36

A very large muge of hot ribena soon.

Orange squash.

Fanta pineapple

Rio Blanco Pale Ale

Deep golden and malty, with a spicy hop flavor and well balanced hop bitterness, Rio Blanco is a uniquely Texan interpretation of an English-style pale ale. Czech Saaz hops provide a crisp finish and delicate aroma.
ABV: 5.3%, IBU: 26, OG(plato): 12.5

Any brewery with a Frank Zappa quote on their website is ok with me.

"You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer."

-Frank Zappa

Born of a flood and centuries-old Belgian text, 1554 Enlightened Black Ale uses a light lager yeast strain and dark chocolaty malts to redefine what dark beer can be. In 1997, a Fort Collins flood destroyed the original recipe our researcher, Phil Benstein, found in the library. So Phil and brewmaster, Peter Bouckaert, traveled to Belgium to retrieve this unique style lost to the ages. Their first challenge was deciphering antiquated script and outdated units of measurement, but trial and error (and many months of in-house sampling) culminated in 1554, a highly quaffable dark beer with a moderate body and mouthfeel.

Looks interesting!

Tea. Lots and lots of tea.

With 'milk'?

No, with *actual* milk.

Lemsip.

Vimto.

It would appear that the new local brewpub has finally begun selling its own beer. I think I'll stop by and try one or two of these soon. Eleven percent alcohol by volume!

Hypothetical Doubly Imperious IPA

This hop megatron bomb blasts your palette in places you didn't know you had taste buds. Brilliantly golden, with a faintly green hue due to the incessant hop additions that continue from 1st wort through the boil, the hopback, primary and secondary fermentations, cold aging and the serving vessel—this skillfully crafted beer has enough alpha acids in it to bitter a barleywine three times its size. A liquid death-metal lyric to the essential essence of humulus lupulus--not for the faint of hop.

I have a huuuuge cup of tea and a cookie. Anyone else care to join me?

I'll have a co- Wait. What type of cookie?

Nothing to drink but water, beer and some milk of dubious drinkability.

Guess which one I'm getting ready to drink ...
