Things to look foward to in the New Year

What are you looking forward to in 2009?

Got any plans for travel, career changes or any special events coming up in the new year? Or even any little treats you're looking forward to.

Yesterday I got tickets to see The Specials play Brixton in May! I'm so excited...

A better year.

I had a horrible anus year. In no particular order 2008 gave me a criminal record, a sacking for gross misconduct, health problems, marriage trouble, alcohol issues, etc, etc.

But sure, that's life :)

Criminal record, what did you do?

a sacking for gross misconduct

Come on, we know about the rest, so spill! ;)

Details Nigel?

2007 was when I began my career as London's worst standup and most mediocre comedy writer.

In 2008 I aim to become embittered and am looking forward to it.

Are you sure about those dates, sooty?

I also have a time machine and I'm a pessimist.

I was really excited about the Specials gigs. Been waiting for these for ages. But...no Jerry Dammers, so I ain't botherin'. Shame.

I am looking forward to living with zooo.

Sacked as I was getting sick money from my job (govt employer) and I was working for myself part-time. Bad Nigel!

Fined £250 for aggravated assualt on my wife, I didn't hit her though I only pushed her. I was drunk and she was 5 months preggers at the time. Very very bad Nigel!

*leaves in shame*

I'm blocking that out.

They can get anyone on the old joanna. :D Or he can turn up on stage and they all lived happily ever after.

A slightly dreary end to the year but roll on 2009 when I shall continue to try to make millions of people laugh. Failing that I'll go teach English in the sun. Win win, really.

Was it down a flight of stairs?

No. I'm now tarnished as a wife beater but it was a 5 second living room alcohol-induced row and I pushed her onto the floor. But, because of a risk to the unborn child the police took a hard line.

and she still allows you in her life?

and she still allows you in her life?

Yeah, I haven't had a drink in four months and as long as that continues she will. Nobody's perfect, without booze she loves me to bits. And she knew it was out of character as well, I never did anything like that before, I was surprised as much as she was.
