What half of BSG men lie about books read? Page 3

Aparently the Children of Hurn is meant to be a lot more enjoyable.

Ok big confession time.

I preferred the Dragon Lance novels to LOTR, oh the geeky fan boy shame.

And I read all the Conan the Barbarian novels.

Oh the double shame.

So who's more of a geek guys who learn Elvish or Klingon?

I say Klingon, atleast with Elvish you can claim it's to meet girls.

I can't even learn Esperanto.

Laughing out loud me too! But I loved the Forgotten Realms books. The Avatar trilogy and Prince of Lies were my favorite books when I was a kid.
Oh yea and the Xanth series..ohhhh..the double shame.

Ooh that's pretty bad, confess Curt at some point were you an 7th level Elf fighter-magic user. Called Curt the Hurter?

The Dragon Lance books were the only decent gaming books.

That said I used to be Thrungmarr Axethrash and I was such a geek I played GURPS instead of D&D.

I also read all the Han Solo novels.

Any other turbo nerds out there?

The weirdest readers I think there are, are those who read Harry Potter.

But no other fiction at all

Weird how?

Well it's making one move into a genre and that's it, but no more.

Like some one watching Ever Decreasing Circles but not The Good Life.

Fair enough. :)

It was quite funny today in the office, when a woman in the office had the story up on her internet and told everybody, I replied 'I've read that article'

Has anyone read any of the Shardlake series?

Pffft....no....he was a moon elf and he was a bard...so he wasn't a hunter. :P
And I only ever read one Dragonlance book "The Gully Dwarves". I remember liking it and laughing a lot but that's about as far as I dove into that series.
I played two versions of the Marvel RP game, Robotech RP, every D&D setting and both versions of Star Wars RP.
We also played a lot of strategy games like Risk, Axis and Allies and a bunch others we payed 50 bucks a piece for only to play the game once.
I did it aaaaaaaall without ever really damaging my cool status in high school mwhahahhahaha!!!!

I was less cool than Satan's microwave, heating hot sauce, in airing cupboard whilst being flamethrowered at ground zero of the Trinity test.

Still Starwars RPG was fun.

Nope any good?

I buy books but sometimes I don't read them.. perhaps I'm gay.

That said, I never tire of reading Charles Bukowski's 'Post Office'.

I love police procedurals were nothing happens.

I'd be so much richer if I used the Library more often.
