Luvverly Lambourn

Wow... that's impressive. Did you actually know that Lee or look at the link?

Several of you have recently been to the town nearest to my home so you can make up your own minds.

Beautiful countryside. And lovely weather.

I've visited all the UK places mentioned in this thread - except Skeggy, oh and Lee's house. I often eat chickens from a farm in Lambourn. My 'home town' was Notting Hill. And it wasn't like the film at all.

Carlisle is where I originate from; almost as far north as you can go without actually being Scottish. We have a large castle, a W H Smith and a train station.

Damn, my home village is so well known! :)

I was snowed in at Lambourn once. Didn't see any Chickens.

Sutton reeks of intolerance, sexual repression and aspirational interior decoration.

Sounds like you live in the right place, eh? Laughing out loud

The Slaggs live in Wales, so we were dumped by Fate in the appropriate place to die in ignominy.

Ah, perhaps you're not so bad then.

Even though it was far worse in the 1950s.

I live in the armpit of the empire, the carbuncle of the UK, the stinking slimy cesspit of the Isles..... Greenwich. :D

Have you never visited Tower Hamlets?

Have you never visited Tower Hamlets?

Don't think so, I did live in Southgate once. It wasn't too bad.

Anyone who think that they live in "the carbuncle of the UK, the stinking slimy cesspit of the Isles" really needs to go to Tower Hamlets. Oh, and Chalvey.

Greenwich? Where you are always guaranteed to have a mean time....
