Is that your way of telling us it'll still be BSG in 2009?

2009 is going to be the best year for comedy. Why? Because hopefully a lot of it will be written by BSG people!

You've got high hopes for Admin, haven't you?

I wouldn't hope on it. You heard what Angus Deayton said, there are no new writers coming up.

Goes to show that it is all 'within the industry', who you know, all projects handled by the same small group of writers with hardly any fresh, new talent emerging. It's a sad sad state of affairs.

Gervais actually says in his blog that he wasn't joking about thinking the British Comedy Awards are beneath him.

Yeah I saw that, and can completely understand him not wanting to attend. Deep down I think he does appreciate this award, but has constantly said that at The British Comedy Awards everybody gets a chance at winning. I remember him being on Steve Wright's show on BBC Radio 2 the day of the awards in December '05 and he predicted who would win the awards he was nominated for, he got it right.

I didn't agree with Jasper Carrot when he said that "looking around the room, British comedy is in good hands". At the moment it's in very poor hands if you ask me.

What a ludicrous statement. Surely everybody gets a chance at winning in any such awards ceremony?

I think Mike means, they give everyone a turn, rather than giving it to who deserves it when they deserve it?

I don't know if Ricky has actually said that, just commenting on what Mike's saying.

Well Ricky neither deserves so many of them, nor has any more turns at all.

He deserves a million more! :)

Bullets fired into his torso, yes. \o/

Bullets made of chocolate.

Yumyum.
