F**k me, you don't have to watch it.

YTou're one of us too until I get you into that dress and lippy.

Yeah we do. Anything a BSGer is involved with, we have to watch. Even dreck like Admin.
(I've only seen a couple of bits of 'school' on YouTube, but I didn't think it was too bad. Though yes, the kids are a pretty pointless gimmick)

Why should anything that's against the norm be called a gimmick though?
It's just trying something a bit different.

Nought wrong with that matey.

Different in that it's a comedy show without laughs?

Because it added nothing, other than getting a bit of attention I suppose because they could say, 'look, it's got kids in it, but doing grown up sketches!' I don't think it actually added anything to the funny, after the initial few minutes of 'ooh, they're kids, and they're not too bad!' It's a gimmick; not saying you shouldn't use gimmicks, but it is a gimmick.

Very droll.
Why don't you write for the telly instead?

But the 'gimmick' as you put it isn't central to the idea. The idea is funny, modern sketches.
Is the Peep Show thing a gimmick? That's not central to the show, it's just a different hook to hang it off.

With the gimmick of having kids performing them.

Surely the hearing the inner-thoughts of the Peep characters is very central to the show? The camera work plays into that and compliments it. I would say.

I do. It's "comedy", therefore it must be watched.

I have. But it's like my charity work, I don't like to talk about it.
