Filmmakers in Reading Meeting 3rd December

I remember seeing there were a few people from the Reading area (or nearby, like me) on here. Just thought this might be interesting...

**********************************************
'Plan B' - a monthly night dedicated to the film makers of Reading

This is a group dedicated to a night i want to setup for anyone involved with or want to be involved with film / media in and around Reading.

We have a great music scene here but nothing for film makers - lets change that.

It'd be a monthly night (location tbc), where film makers, writers, general crew, actors, agents, etc could meet and discuss future projects, network, share film making problems, get advice, etc

it'd also be good to screen films by the people in attendance & maybe have a few 'events' a la the 24 hr film festival

there's a large amount of talented people on our doorstep, we don't always have to go to London!

So join up & let me know if this sounds like a plan...man :-)

I'll be going to this hoping to find people locally who want to work on sketch and comedy projects.

If you are on Facebook you can read about the group here: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=34662556514
And the event here: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/event.php?eid=36094573446

Tomorrow's a bit short notice for me but I'd be interested to hear how it went. I'm in Swindon so 30mins on a train.... Or about 3 days by SpaceHopper.

Oh this was quite interesting BTW. By luck there seemed to be an equal mix of actors, writers, directors and animators. There were about 20-30 people so you couldn't speak to everyone but there should be more events. Good for networking, so join the group on Facebook for future updates.

Did it end in good ol' Reading fashion?

I mean a fight? Or even just a stabbing?

Sadly I went early (10pm) as I had an early meeting the next day, but I still had time to glass a tramp.
