A public apology and laugh at my expense!!!!! Page 7

I used to aaaalways make sure I wrote 'all right'. But very recently I can't be arsed.

Bad zooo.

Bad zooo! Tut. You need a spanking.

Really? Iiiiinteresting. But then, editorial guidelines do vary between publication.

Most publications here in the States use the AP Stylebook. It says:

all right (adv.) Never alright. Hyphenate only if used colloquially as a compound modifier: He is an all-right guy.

According to the AP Stylebook:

"1980s" or "1980's"?

I swear I read that alright had become the correct spelling.

No apostrophe, if I remember correctly. And I think I do.

Zing!

I think it's more of a case of it being grudgingly accepted by some, but I don't think it's the "correct" spelling.

Another one that bugs me is "noone" onstead of "no one." Always incorrect, unless you're talking about a Hermit.

Because unlike the rest of this lot, I actually respect you :P

Why thank you. If I had a Christmas card list you would be on it.
Hug :D

I don't think many people here would understand that.
