I think he's got the acting ability to go on to other things, if people give him the chance.

He is pretty good.

I think Shaun Williamson is a very good comic actor. He will, in time, hopefully be remembered for more than just Barry. Hopefully.

Don't use his proper name. :(

The only reason Gervais 'had it coming' is because he's been around a while now and has been successful, so he becomes a target carrying on this tired "I'm better and more successful than you and I'll rub it in your face" act for years.

What 'Shaun Williamson'?

Wow, Aaron just owned me. I feel dirty.

I thought it was funny when a previous poster in this thread said Gervais wouldn't be a true comedy great, I think The Office has assured him of cult status forever more.

"Cult" is not the same as "great".

The only people annoyed by that to the extent that they should overlook his work, are retards.

(Unless you're annoyed by it Aaron, in which case it's retards and yummy people.)

Like it or not, I suspect that The Office will be looked back on as that era's Fawlty Towers.

What 'Shaun Williamson'?

Precisely.

It's 'Barry off of Eastenders' thank you very much.
