Apparently Frank has cut out all foul language from his act.

He's getting soft lol.

Wasn't that specifically the gag he was going for?, at least that's how I read it . . .

Oh maybe.

I thought it was a dig at the phone vote scandal...where people where still voting even after they'd been told the lines had closed or whatever it was. But yeah it makes more sense the other way. :D

I thought it was that as a result of the phonecall scandal last years wasn't broadcast . . .

Rather amusing that everyone loved Frank but now don't know what they were laughing about!

Ha, just watched it back on YouTube and it is what I thought it was about. He says "I'm still waiting for the last phone-votes to come in from last year". So it was a dig at the voting scandal.

So it was a dig at the voting scandal.

Was that under question at all? The debate was over which angle he meant it from, no?

AND IT NOT BEING BROADCAST LAST YEAR!

Gah!!

Hmm. I took it as he meant people are still voting and he meant last year as in 'last time' as in the last awards show. :D

Anyway, it was funny regardless. :)

Is it online anywhere?
I forgot to record it. :(

I could send it to you.

Comedy moment of the night was the announcement of Best Male Newcomer.... 'Dan Clark' cue cameraman zooming in to someone who is clearly not Mr Clark and is looking slighty confused/annoyed at the camera in his face!

I quite liked Gervais' video, I was pleased he won the award. Bishop's outburst was probably nothing more than drunk jealousy, Bishop being a good example of somebody who has more chance of shagging the Queen than he does winning an Emmy or Golden Globe. He'll probably be cleaning our streets in around five years time.

Was Corden joining in with Bishop's outburst at Gervais? If so, a little disappointing. If actors don't like Gervais winning maybe they should work a bit harder to make sure they're nominated instead of him.

Just read Ricky blog where he says "Won the British Comedy Award for Best Actor, I wasn't at the ceremony because as I said, it is beneath me. Of course, many of you think I'm joking". Fair enough in my book. The awards were difficult to watch, the after party on ITV 2 was just shocking.

It's nothing to do with people not "liking" Gervais....it's them not liking his "act" that he's adopted in regards to these awards. Part of his fame is down to the BCA (I only ever saw The Office AFTER seeing him give an excellent acceptance speech at the BCA for it) For three years in a row he was the funniest thing on it (just YouTube the awards and his speeches are right up there).....but since he's found the US he has constantly done the "this award's crap" thing every chance he gets. If it's a gag it's very old and if he's serious then he's being a bit of a twat...either way, it was a done deal he'd go on about his other awards in his speech (that "it's a proper Emmey, not an international one" is something I've seen him do more than his dance) and the people sat there were quite right to groan. If he's going to slag off their event so tediously then fair play to them for giving him some stick, after all.....if it's his "stage persona" then he should be fine with it, it's just like booing the baddie at the panto.

Also - I thought the original "BOLLOCKS" was Corden (sounds like it) which is why Corden laughed so much when Bishop did it to HIM when he won his award.

Of *course* it's a bloody gag.

I can see how people think it's getting old though.
