I'm in the unfortunate group of writers who haven't yet had any success on any level yet. I was just wondering what is most likely to happen. If a producer/script editor likes my script, will they e-mail me or call me?

Mike where are you aiming for? Are you going for full lenght screen plays and sitcoms?

I found the whole writing thing got easier when I went for softer targets; News Revue, Treason show, getting good feed back from script readings, heck getting good feed back from critique.

After a year or so going for this writing business, I like to feel I know what I need to improve to succeed. Realistically I also know that time will be measured in years.

To answer your question, everything I've heard has been by e-mail.

Call or email? Perhaps they'll write you a hand-written letter to make things more sincere? (Cynical to the point of... can't think of anything funny to write.)

That's just rude.

Tim your posts do seem to suggest your suffering from a bad dose of BSG syndrome.

I've had a hastily written rejection in pencil and even a critique of a shopping list that somehow got caught up in a script.

I usually hear by email though. A couple of the calls I've had have strangely happened when I've been cleaning the toilet. It's really hard to grab your mobile, peel off your gloves and not sound too breathless before they ring off.
