When writing songs for these or Treason, is it best to do the full song or a shorter version? 
I don't know who this Rob Mellor fellow is, and the sketch I think they've used I sent in at the end of the Olympics. Why would they be using that one again?
Cool though, I haven't really been sending stuff in to Newsrevue lately.

I was told a while ago that Treason Show prefers the full song, whereas News Revue is more flexible. However, for songs over 2 mins I've regularly cut out a verse or two if I can't make them as funny as the others - and both shows have used these cut down versions. I wouldn't cut them really short though

Often, I do one verse, one chorus...
...but if it's exceptionally good, it'll be the two verse, two chorus format.

Same thing happened to me once.
Someone sent in a similar sketch, and they spliced the two.
I guess that's what they've done to you.
