Would I be a fool to let this opportunity go? Page 4

Yeah I know!

I did think of that, good point!

:)

If they got a letter (and even if they were slightly keen) I doubt they would get round to replying and it'll be forgotten.

If the script has made if into his/her house I believe their is a much greater chance that this person would maybe one day just pick it up for a wee gander.

Just make sure it's your absolute best!

One chance!

:)

This is simply not true. The best advice is to do what I said previously, (obviously :) )

But let us know how you get on.

I'm gonna give it some thought and send it out before I jet off for Christmas. I will let you know what I decide. All I keep thinking is what I've said before 'If you don't ask, you don't get' and 'Who ever got anywhere by not taking a chance?'.

I didn't say it was true... just my opinion :P

Read your signature and make a decision. I surely would try to stand out some way.

Opinions are like...

Well er, anyway.

The trick with being a writer is empathy. Being able to put yourself in another persons shoes and walking about in them as it were. Put yourself if you will in the mindset of a famous comedy performer/actor who receives a script on his doormat with a note saying - here is a script - it has not been written with you in mind nor yet does it have a part in it for you. But what with you being very famous and successful I thought you could read it and pass it on to your chums for me who could get it made.

What sort of priority level would it be given I wonder?

:)

Still want to know who we're bloody talking about...

Mike's wondering whether to ask a girl out who hates him.

Have you sent Lucy any of your scripts yet Chip?

:)

Exactly. I'm not saying don't send anything, but I wouldn't hold your breath for anything to come of it.

That conundrum is so five minutes ago.

Don't tell me I've missed Countdown again! :(

I have never once got the Countdown conundrum. :(
But I get the one in the Radio Times every week.

Explain that, conundrum fans.

You are on fire.

You scared me saying that, Marc. Only there's a girl here called Lucy I really fancy and I thought, "Why would I send a girl I want to impress one of my scripts?"
