Would I be a fool to let this opportunity go? Page 3

Yeah but you're clearly some kind of globe trotting international spy Dr Mato and the clue is also very clearly in the name!

The clue is in the name? A spy? OOOOOOOOOO I could be a globe trotting spy now. I never thought of that. Fun fun fun!

Yeah I'm just gonna send it, the worst thing that can happen is he'll say No. Actually the worst thing that could happen is he'll read it and hate it. Actually the worst thing that could happen is he'll read it, love it, and nick it.

Biff Baff Boff, I'm gonna type the letter now.

Send him a letter asking him to read it and he won't Mike. Send him a letter as I suggested asking for advice and he might.

I think I'll dabble in a bit of both, not putting too much pressure on him to read the script.

I know Mr Mato to be a lard salesman, servicing chipshops in East Rotherham. He weighs 22 stone, drives a 1988 Datsun Cherry and the furthest he's ever been is Blackpool.

Mr Mojo used to be a travelling salesman in 'rubber goods' but apparently he kept getting lost.

It's not so much about having an adress to send a script to, it's more if your scripts good enough.

Early on I regretted sending a substandard script and blowing an oportunity.

How many really trust worthy people have read your stuff?

One trusted friend has read it from the first draft until the end. I will only show it to people I trust, and those people have to be outside your family for obvious reasons.

I don't think he means trust in the sense that they are going to run off with your idea, he means people whose 'judgement' you trust.

He could get that girl to read it who dumped him after three dates. I think she shows excellent judgement. :)

Personally I'd send the script first (not letter).

I think they'll be a greater chance that this person may pick the script up one day and read it, rather than reply to a letter then await the script (I doubt they would be that arsed).

I did think of that, good point!

Exactly, I've been let down by others good intentions atleast once.

You need people who'll be fair but won't spare your feelings.

Better to risk plagarism then taking your shot on goal with your laces undone.

You may be a very good writer, but it can be remarkably small things that torpedo you.

You and comedy seem to go hand in hand.
