Any members got personalised plates?
Are they a must-have for attention-seekers?
If you had to choose one for someone (or yourself), what would it be?

I cringed when I saw a Land Rover which had B1G B0Y 1 on the plate, the man in the car looked an utter knob, but looked as if he might have a big cock so no harm I guess.

They are for idiots.
My first car, a bright orange Skoda I bought for £225 (with a £200 stereo on it) came with the numberplate B2 LUKE. The canny among you will notice this is not my name. I sold it in the end as "personlised registration with Skoda attached". When I asked the man who bought it if he wanted to take it on a test drive he simply said, "Will it get me home in time for my son, Luke's, birthday?"
Given that his son's birthday was the next day and he lived twenty miles away I could give him no such guarantee.
Whenever I see a man driving a car with a personalised number plate I immediately picture a tiny, maggot-like penis nestling in his briefs.
Conversely, I imagine female drivers with personalised reg plates have fannies like ripped out fireplaces.
I don't know why. But I suspect it's true.

When I lived in Florida I had plates with my amateur radio callsign on them. They were free, so why not?
Why not indeed.

What would that call sign be?

Why the interest in my identity? Not that I have anything to hide, but "you show me yours and I'll show you mine."
You have discussed this radio thing enough I thought mmmmmmm I shall tune in and have a listen.

Amateur radio hobbyists don't broadcast at set times or frequencies. You'd need a decent shortwave receiver that can handle upper-sideband and lower-sideband transmissions and a lot of patience if you were to get lucky enough to hear a particular person. And then you'd just hear a couple of people chatting about the weather, radio equipment and other mundane stuff. No music, profanity or advertising is allowed, so it's quite boring to an outside listener.

Well then........never mind! I do not need boring.

You do know Magellan is a vile, artificially colored spirit.
Vastly inferior to Plymouth Gin or even plebby Gordons.
