All Creatures Great and Small

Anyone else like this series? It's amazing to see Robert Hardy still acting these days and he still plays his roles like a pro!

Marlies

Aw, I loved it.

Peter Davison ftw.

Moving this, 'cos we don't classify it as a comedy.

Comedy drama, surely? Wouldn't Other British Comedy be more appropriate then General Discussion?

The show was too cosy fro me at the time, but I am sure I would love it if I was to see it now.

I dunno. It's not in the BCG database, and as I haven't seen it, I'm going by that.

On the other hand, Sunshine is in the BCG database...

I don't remember it being funny myself, but I haven't seen it since I was little.

And the Glorious Leader has spoken.

Nah, don't listen to me.
I didn't have much critical ability at age 5.

Bugger.

I watched these series long ago and did recently try to review it again. I kept falling asleep.

I was a big fan of All Creatures. Everything about it was quality, especially the books they're based on. I'd love them to be repeated.

All Creatures is pure sunday-night family TV. If you group it with Heartbeat and Last of the Summer Wine, thank goodness for the north/south divide!

Used to watch it years ago religiously. I suppose it did have a bit of comedy in it. :P

As one would expect, given it's based around the author's life experiences.

Herriott's inclusion of amusing situations enhanced an otherwise mundane scenario.

Not my cup of tea at all.
