British Comedy Guide

Salutations!

Hi, I'm Liam (I think it's best I establish this early on, as my name bears no indication of this fact)(My username, not my real name, that would make no sense). I found this site when I was looking for a guide on the format needed for comedy scripts- I had a look at the forums and fell in love with them straight away! (I should perhaps abuse parenthesis once more to explain that I mean the general community/vibe, not simply the forums themselves) I've been looking for a way to get an opinion of my material (the little of it that there is at the moment) from people who don't necessarily share my sense of humour or know me- and give my opinion on theirs too!
Sorry for the long winded introduction - what I'm basically trying to say is "Hello", but I feel this simple message may have been lost somewhere in the labyrinth of my general waffle.

Hi Liam, and welcome, you'll like it here (I'm a great parentheses abuser too (a lot of the (uhm) time!)). I'm an ex-programmer ... there is a programming language called LISP ... affectionately known as the Language of Insufficiently Paired Parentheses. Just a bit of useless information that ... I can waffle too!!

Hello!

:)

Hello !!!

(Actually they're "brackets" aren't they?)

Hi Liam, look forward to reading your stuff

Hi Liam and welcomeWave

So many things have already made me feel at home! Waffle, parentheses, er, words... people... it's great! Sorry if I'm being annoyingly chirpy with all my exclamation marks. I haven't done much programming myself, but I do sometimes revel in the company of programmers, so perhaps it's infectious? Or merely a symptom of absent-mindedness.
(David, it depends on how pretentious you are. Cool It's cool to be pretentious. That's what people in my locale tell me anyway.)

By the way, thank you so much for greeting me so nicely, I've never been on a forum that's given such a warm reception before.

Hello Tpeni. Welcome. Yardey yarder.xxx
