BSG Christmas Do Page 71

Ooh, that sounds like a good idea.

:)

What would people think about making The Anchor 'the' BSG venue? Seems that everyone liked it, and we know we're safe there in regards to space and whatnot, nice surroundings generally, and of course that large roof terrace thingy if we hold a meet in warmer weather. And, crucially, it didn't turn into some kind of semi-club at 10pm (>_<;).

Oooo can't wait to eventually go! Laughing out loud

Is it near to you at all Aaron??

It does sound good though. A terrace would be nice.

Not particularly. And it's likely to be even further from wherever I'm living when the next meet comes up.

Danny and I were saying the other day about how good it would be if there was another bash like the Yielding one on the first Friday of July, like an annual thing for EVERYONE so those who have to give loads of notice at work, save money, travel from other countries, etc know that's a date to definitely aim for well well well in advanced so no excuses! Laughing out loud Would anyone be up for that? I doubt it would be anything fancy (I am NEVER transporting all that stuff by train again for a start), but just an excuse to meet and point and laugh. The Anchor sounds like a good venue!

I know you might have one planned way before that but just putting the idea out there....

I would have thought it better to be on a Saturday than a Friday (holiday season, so perhaps people wouldn't want to take ANOTHER day or two off work?), but certainly the idea of set times seems reasonable.

Maybe do a set one at Christmas too? Closest Saturday to 1st December or something. Ensures that we can book months in advance to avoid work (etc) parties and the like. And a good shopping opportunity too!

I think that may be an idea. As I said, just throwing it out there!

But it would be nice for one to be held that I stood a really good chance of attending! Laughing out loud

I also like the sound of the Christmas one!

Weeellll...

Yeah. I'm sure there'll be one around Easter, should people be interested.

I had a great time. It feels weird posting on here now I can visualise the faces. I did my usual party piece of getting pissed and dropping something so rude it stopped the f**king conversation! There was I noted a shuffling of feet in the other direction. Never mind just wait till the next meet I'll almost certainly do it again. Thanks for the DVD Aaron you little minx!

I shall hope when I go see the ponies I hope next fall, some of you will be bothered to meet me at the ponies. There has to be a pub somewhere around there.

Don't go out on the moors!
