I know prodcers who get really pissed off about being sent emailed scripts, on the grounds they then have to try and work with the printer clunking in their ear for an hour or so - knowing the finished product is more than likely going to be a pile of shit anyway.
Most people don't mind, but it never hurts to at least offer a hard-copy.
As for using a bulldog clip - is that really a good idea? What if someone drops the script and the pages fall out? What if the clip's not on by the time it arrives in the post and the same happens just getting it out of the envelope? Would you be bothered to sort a pile of pages back into order, again knowing 99 times out of 100 (or more) it's going to be a waste of time?
Plus, Bourbish, you don't care enough about your own scripts to punch holes in them? That's what, a couple of minutes work and your scripts aren't worth that?
There are some very strict rules about script presentation in America and if you don't meet them, your script won't get read - or at least will be marked out as from an amateur before it's opened.
Thankfully the UK is much less proscribed, but there is one thing I bet everyone would agree on: SECURELY BOUND. It doesn't have to be brads, although if you do use them make sure you use longish ones - STAPLES do a 2" brass fastner which does the job - or the twinlock ACCO fastners work just as well.
Script presentationisn't worth obsessing over, but it is worth making a little effort - it's the equivalent to turning up to an interview in a suit. Yes, you're hiring the person, not the clothes; but it doesn't hurt to create a good first impression.
