I'd just end up worse tomorrow if I came today, I think, and then that'd mean missing school and the like. I was really set on coming, too, and every time that I feel better I change my mind; but it's a horrible virus thing that just waxes and wanes. :(

Well, you can catch the next Do. Maybe, I can too.

Although, if you arrive late, when everyone's passing out or vomiting, it'll be a level playing field. ;)

Here's hoping that you feel much better soon :)

Just back from the do, had a really good time (sadly I had to leave early! Damn gravesend trains!). Really good to meet everyone (again for some lucky lucky people).

Sadly just missed Nil and Julia who turned up as I left ;)

And didn't get to speak to the Bussell too much, must have a chinwag another time Mr Bussell sir.

Off to bed now.

Only just back now? Blimey! Took a while!

I do live 'in the sticks'

I am still supporting the 'binmans do' by manning the fort. I work, they play. :(

I am still pretending I am at the do. Lots of gin and laughter.
Here is a picture. I snuck in a camera. They think they are angels for some reason?

Is that Zooo on the left with the sunglasses on? Huh?

Hello everyone,

Well I would really like to take this opportunity to say thanks to everyone who came last night in making it a brilliant night.

Here's a bit of a low down on the night:

I arrived at 3.30pm where the pub (which was very nice) chucked a bunch of "norms" off their tables to make room for me, Ben and Chapman to sit down. We had a civilised chat and recieved our "prewritten" The Newmans Christmas cards from Chapman. Was very nice. Zooo and Aaron arrived next and took their place on the Geekdom throwns (or very nice chairs). Me and Ben decided to open wine then, so the order in which people arrive is slightly (very) wrong. Gav arrived, which was nice as up until Friday he wasn't going to come. Loved the T-shirt Gav. Danny came in (always a pleasure) and we started to really make numbers up. One of my highlights was meeting Roscoff. He is an amazing man and was so good to meet my online hubby! Mark snuck in and talked a lot of comedy. BillWill arrived, and can I say what a lovely gentleman and HAPPY BIRTHDAY (we did sing yes). An unfamiliar face of Godot Taxis turned up and he's a lovely guy too. Sootyj arrived making mental notes on the excellent bit of comedy banter that was flowing. hehe. Bearing in mind we're all still recieving Newman Christmas cards at this point for some reason signed "Shave and Gay". At about 6.15pm I decided I was hungry so told everyone we were going to eat so we all got fish and chips from the conveniently place Fish and Chip shop which is built within the pub. Badge arrived wearing a badge. Simon Stratton and Finck arrived... what a pair of hotties they are. Then Bussel and his hair arrived in style and things were really kicking off to be an awesome night. Rob0 came and so did Nil and Julia. We all abandoned our chairs and took to "hanging around" in strange assortments of groups of people until we got chucked out at midnight. Of course Graham Bandage made a legendary appearence. What a great bloke!!!

Anyway, I am so glad it was such a good night. Thanks! :)

Sounds like a good night was had by all.

Yes, Roscoff is an official BSG leg-end. (And Godot. But I've met him before!)

And, scarily, Ross really DOES look like Fozzie. And Gyles Brandreth. And, from some angles, Keith Allen. Terribly jolly chap though. He'd better come to the next meet!

Good morning everyone!

What a lovely evening that was! It was so great meeting you all/seeing you again! You cured me of Finck flu!

I hope everyone got home safely and enjoyed the evening as much as I did.

Oh and Simon says (...) a special thank you to Roscoff and Chapman, who apparently bought aaaallll the drinks. :) *applauds*

Cracking night, although it finished in the classic English way - bar shutting at 11.30 and the last half hour spent standing in a corner while the staff glared at us. Also everyone f**ked off when I went to the bog so I wasn't able to say goodbye.

Great to meet people who left before I arrived last time - Zoo, EllieJP - who looks exactly like her avatar and was a great hostess, Simon Stratton who doesn't, since he used a picture of someone else and Winterlight/Ben/Ricketts who I sadly thought were three different people before. Chapman was a sour as ever, Badge was dryly funny and everybody else was mega.

Unfortunately Charley and Matt Stott pussyied out and stayed away, but the biggest surprise of the evening was Aaron turning up in a hooded tee shirt and a puffa jacket. To think I polished my shoes for that c**t.

Hooded jumper actually!

I was wearing a bright pink t-shirt underneath.

Great to see everyone, especially those I'd not met before. It was a genuine pleasure. What a great turn out!

Sorry I had to leave a little before the end - lucky I did, because the engineering work meant it took forever to get home. In my rush to catch the train I forgot my Newmans card! Hope someone's kept that for me, because I need to flog it on eBay when it's a hit show.

Thanks to Ellie for organising and everyone for turning up. Particularly those of you who'd come from Wales, Liverpool and Germany to be there!

Get well soon those of you who didn't manage to make it. We'll do another one next summer when there's less flu going about.
