What would be your ideal gift to recieve in this pending gift giving season?
I would like a trip to Dartmoor England to see the ponies. That has been a dream of mine. I find it so fascinating how many have worked so hard to make sure they survive.

Not asking for much, you should have it!
Only $11,000 if anyone has some spare cash ...
Da Butt.........what is it?
It's an Icom IC-7800 amateur radio transceiver.

I currently use one of these:
Do you have station with that equipment? Please do not say yes...(note to self, this person could be influencing millions more)

I don't understand. It's just an ordinary amateur radio transceiver and, yes, I transmit with it. That's the whole point, right?
Mato is asking if you have a radio station.
And Mato, the answer is no. It's just an amateur thing. Like a walkie talkie. But a bit more powerful.
I got myself for Christmas a prestuffed stocking. Dunno the contents yet. am all excited.

Only 100 Watts into an antenna in my attic, but it's enough to talk to people on every continent when the conditions are right. I wish the Sun would start acting up - sunspot activity is still almost nil.

I live in Devon, Doc, where Dartmoor national park is. I have seen the ponies many times

Do you have any kind of restrictions on your usage/setup? Here it's required - or at least used to be required - that the equipment be somewhere inaccessible to others whilst the licence holder isn't present. So a locked room or large cupboard of some variety.

Oh you are so lucky to see them. I am hoping to come there next fall. Do you have a digital camera? If you do please take some winter pictures for me to see.

I think you can steal one off of the Star Trek Enterprise.
