Everybody loves the programme ... you hate it? Page 2

Outnumbered. I don't hate it but I just can't watch more than ten minutes without channel hopping away. It just seems so formulaic and contrived to me and not funny and yet I read everybody else posting how brilliant it is.

The Office. But then I don't like cringe humour, so that put the kibosh on that one.

Anything with Aaron in it.

Anthing with Aaron in it.

Aw. I'm flattered you thought of me. Even if you can't spell. :)

Without you my life would have no purpose! :)

OhgodIloveBuffy.

I wonder how much the entire lot is on DVD now.

My landlord is always watching Buffy. He even has mates around and they have Buffy parties.

It's glossy, couch-potatoe nonsense of course! ;)

I was under the impression it was a documentary? :O

(not that you've ever watched an episode, mind...) :)

Any UK sitcom made before 1985 (or started before then and continued on) In fact, any comedy from that era.

Two Ronnies? Rather stick pins in my eyes.

Is there a start date to unacceptable British comedy, Pete? Steptoe & Son? Sykes? Dad's Army? Hancock's Half Hour? Porridge? Even Yes Minister? You hating all of those?

Sadly, I have watched an episode. There was more plot in the coffee adverts that Mr Head used to do! :)

And as I've said before I used to love it but can't watch Only Fools and Horses. Overdosed on it now!

Anything that was new in 85 onwards is ok, for me, nothing before then works. Yes Minister's ok...but only because i liked it as it had people in proper jobs.

I loooove the Two Ronnies. Well, 80% of it.

Pete, how old are you?

35 (just)

To be fair i didn't "get" comedy until the Cheers episode where Diane's in the sea and shouts "throw me a line" to which Sam responds "What's a nice girl like you doing in an ocean like this?"

That was about 87.....up till then I'd just been watching Dallas dreaming of being a yuppie.

Ah, well then that's surprising. Don't you remember shows from your childhood and feel all affectionate towards them?

Like me and The Two Ronnies / Porridge, etc.

Even if you didn't still find them uproariously funny, I wouldn't have thought you'd hate them.

Not hate no...i just remember watching that stuff and wishing my dad would go out so i could put something better on.
