Amused to see that Talfryn Thomas, who played Tom Price in the original, has been replaced by Max Beesley. This probably says more about how society has changed in the past 30 years than all the 'colour-blind' casting.

How terrifying a plague has wiped out every one, except for shit actors.

I liked it, and they certainly weren't shit actors; not by any stretch of the imagination, I've no idea what you were watching Sooty. I thought Max Beesley was actually very good in his role too.

It was quite jolly, Beesley was alright granted.

In fairness I wrote this half way through iPlayer before Agayman carked it.

I didn't think I would enjoy it but I did. I thought Max Beesley was good since all the other stuff I've seen him in has been rubbish.

SPOILER:

They killed off Pete Tyler & Martha pretty quick, didn't they?

I think Martha used all 6 of her expressions and then got bored.

D'you thin she's proper dead? I wouldn't be surprised if she just seemed dead, but then recovered and popped up again later on. Like that lead woman did.

Ha ha! Although he was only a tramp - not a psychopath!

Well we'll find out on Tuesady because that's when it seems to be on from now onwards.

Granted, Beesley has done a lot of poop but one thing he did that wasn't poop was the BBC drama 'Bodies'. That was a marvellous programme, one of the best dramas the BBC have done, brilliantly written and acted. Don't know if many people saw it unfortunately.

Agree about Bodies, thought that was excellent. Quite enjoyed Beesely in Tom Jones as well.

On again in a minute...

How many episodes of this are there? I've recorded the first but haven't got around to watching it yet.

6.

Me thinks.

Ta Ells bells.

*stays away from thread until he's caught up*

Oh wow. I completely forgot about that series.
I LOVED it.
