But don't get the idea that L.A. stations have cut back on their helicopter-filmed coverage of police pursuits. They air at least one per week; it's sort of a local pastime. When I lived there I subscribed to a notification service that would e-mail and/or text me whenever a pursuit was being shown on live television.

I read a couple of years ago - entirely possible it was one of those urban legends - that a lot of the collagen/botox type stuff is made up from the skin cells of executed Chinese criminals... Sounds both far-fetched and believeable at the same time. *shudder*

Botox is (I think) a synthetic form of the toxin that causes botulism. The company that manufactures it was in the city I lived in in California.
I think medical collagen is derived from cattle or pigs. Something like that. But I think I remember reading that human placentas might be involved.
