How many of you have full time/part time jobs? Page 8

The talking terrorist doll is an oldie though, someone actually sent me that as a text message about a year ago.

Oh yeah it's ancient. Did you think I'd made it up? :D

Oh no, I just said it was good. It doesn't even occur to me to consider a joke's origins.

Although with most people, if it makes me laugh then I know it's not theirs.

Well, we don't claim to be Coming of Age good...

Damn we're so transparent.

Yeah, but we can see through your transparency! :P

Just wanted to get an idea of the writers on here who are perhaps working part time to make sure they have time for writing, and those people who work full time and write when they can.

It will be interesting to know. At the moment I work part time to make time for writing.

I work full time, but as it's a council funded role, it's barely even a job.

The next step would be to earn enough to go to part time next year, then quit completely.

Did like some of those jokes Lee. Great cards gags too btw.

And my pennies worth:
Who puts up signs on listed buildings and is a qualified denetist?
Jeremy Plaques-man

Who is the best person to have on one's quiz team?
Jeremy Facts-man

I work part-time as a criminal defence solicitor. I sit through endless police station interviews trying to think up 118 118 gags.

I was sitting in a cell just about this time yesterday, but they do usually let me out.

That's criminal!

It's ok, 118 sent me a taxi...

Smile when you dial! It shows in your voice!

I told my sister the Jeremy Pacman joke (what's yellow and reads the news).

She asked me, "does he have liver disease then or something?"

I don't think she got it.

Full time Job = no time to write.

I hate the fact I have to work sometimes...

Yeah, work is a bit shit.

The trick is to find a job that enables you to write. A quiet video store or a cushy office number.
