Worst standup? Page 2

On Roseanne, she was bombing and got irate with the audience. Not funny at all. There were no hecklers. It was the worst routine I ever saw and I have seen many.

It was during her most serious bouts of depression and I hate men tangents.

Yup, it sucked. Wave

Being Jewish doesn't automatically make you funny.

:O

:(

Does make you automatically a theiving money-hungry bastard.

Wait. I'M A JEW! :O

I once saw a stand up at a talent contest when I was 14, he was awful, typical bright coloured clothes, big collar, long hair, big shoes (looked like he had club feet), his material was shocking and he got no response from the audience. I wouldn't be surprised if he quit after that. He didn't hang around for the results.

It didn't look like it in your 40'000th post! :P

Laughing out loud

Did he have a car that fell apart when you honked the horn?

Well well well, top man Moonstone!

Without a doubt, the worst stand up I've seen was Eddie Izzard.

I've seen some cringeworthy standups in my time but this is just awful.

Beat the credit crunch and heating costs...you'll be glowing from head to toe with embarrassment after watching this clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7yDcCVdXWc&feature=related

I couldn't watch beyond when she started to rap.

Really? I'm surprised. In what way?

I was quite surprised by that too.

The worst comedian I have ever seen was the guy who actually took me to my first gig, he was second on stage a 65 year old irishmen who basically wasn't clear and he was also telling a racist few jokes...

He went off stage saying he'd do it again! I had to agree the audience were wankers cause he was my lift home.

Never seen him since - hope he didn't kill himself...

I'm glad there's no (to my knowledge) video footage of me doing stand-up out there, or I'd panic that it might end up here.

Most of the acts I've seen that were bad were really just inexperienced or had good material but poor performance or had stage presence but no good writing to back them up. Or just not my sense of humour. Or a good act having a bad night.

Then there's the new acts that do self-indulgent routines; they seem to put their own egos before their audience's entertainment. Like some actors who do stand-up who think it's one long audition of their acting talents or just people who just love the sound of their own voice.

Hence why gong nights rock...

Had one guy who talked to me after his set he was all, "I don't get it my mates liked it". I was very tempted to tell him you should have invited more friends then, but he was bigger than me so I left it...
